Request Greenhouse & Growth Chamber Space

All space requests should be submitted via email to ugapgf@uga.edu. Requests for research space should be submitted at least 1 month in advance, while teaching requests should be submitted at least 2 months in advance. 

After the request has been relayed, we will then ask more about your project and confirm or deny the reservation. The reservation may be denied due to occupancy status, restrictions applied to a greenhouse or chamber, service status, etc.

*Please note that PGF is currently developing a formal space request form and that email space requests serve as a temporary solution. 


Greenhouse Reservations


Please include the following information in your space request email:

  • Subject Line: 
    • “PGF Research Space Request {Date}”
  • Email Body:
    • The desired greenhouse and its specific compartment(s) of interest [If known],
    • The project timeline (Tentative Start and End Date),
    • The estimated bench area in square feet needed for the project,
    • The Chart String assigned to the project (Speedtype - Fund - Program – Class – Department - Operating Unit)
    • Crop-type
    • Desired climate parameters (Day and night minimum and maximum temperature)
    • Other considerations [e.g.,crop or pesticide incompatibilities, supplemental lighting needs, soil mixing and sterilization, if the material is recombinant IP, project supplies assistance, etc.],
    • The intended point of contact for quarterly invoicing.

Growth Chamber Reservations


Please include the following information in your space request email:
